Walk and Talk Therapy

The healing power of movement and conversation

Inquisitive Minds Counseling offers walk-and-talk therapy, a movement-based approach conducted outdoors on local trails, parks, and green spaces. Sessions take place on paved, accessible paths, where walking and time in nature support emotional regulation, reduce stress, and help clients feel more at ease and open.

Why Walk and Talk

Movement makes difficult conversations easier.

When I'm not in session, you'll find me hiking or mountain biking, most happily in the mountains of Crested Butte. That love of nature directly inspired my decision to offer walk and talk therapy. I've experienced some of my most clarifying and empowering moments on multi-day hikes or on a simple walk outdoors. I believe there is something deeply healing about being in nature while doing meaningful inner work.

In-person sessions are conducted exclusively as walk-and-talk therapy, taking place outdoors side-by-side, supporting emotional regulation through movement and encouraging more natural conversation.

  • Side by side

Walking next to each other, rather than sitting face to face, encourages more natural conversation.

  • Movement helps you settle

Walking supports emotional regulation and reduces stress, so it is easier to feel at ease and open.

  • Time in nature

There is something deeply healing about being in nature while doing meaningful inner work.

  • At a comfortable pace

Paved, accessible paths, where you can walk, think, and move at a pace that feels right for you.
